Posting 8.7 per cent growth in 2006, male skin care products stood well above the 5.6 per cent growth average for the industry as a whole, according to market researchers Kline.

Gisela Padilla Concepcion, a professor at the University of the Philippines’ Marine Science Insitute, is the woman behind Herbal Woman. It is a collection of body care products made from local herbs and natural products but make use of French innovations.

What is MRSA?

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterium that causes infections in different parts of the body. It's tougher to treat than most strains of staphylococcus aureus -- or staph -- because it's resistant to some commonly used antibiotics.

The symptoms of MRSA depend on where you're infected. Most often, it causes mild infections on the skin, causing pimples or boils. But it can also cause more serious skin infections or infect surgical wounds, the bloodstream, the lungs, or the urinary tract.
